On Saturday, November 9, the DPW loader crew completed a third pass of the east side and began the fourth pass on the west side in zone 1 and continued where they left off on Monday November 11. As of Friday, November 15, the DPW has gone through the west side of the Borough and left off in zone 5. The loader crew will be working this Saturday, November 16 in zone 5 and if completed, will go to the east side in zone 6 and will continue where they left off on Monday, November 18. The leaf vacuum crew is on the fourth pass of the east side. Once the main roads are completed, the leaf vacuum crew will go back to the west side main roads for a fifth pass.
Please note, the volume of leaves is heavier. This makes for slower passes through the zones for both the loader and vacuum crews. Please be patient.
Please remember that leaves must be placed at the curb for pickup. If they are blocked by cars or behind trees or poles, we will not be able to pick them up. In addition, branches cannot be mixed in with the leaves. The DPW will not pick up branches or leaf piles with branches mixed in.
