Leaf Collection Update – 11/1/2024

On Monday, October 25, the DPW started a third pass of the borough for leaf collection. As of Friday, November 1, the DPW has completed the third pass through the west side of the Borough. On Monday, November 4, the DPW will start a third pass on the east side. The loader crew will start on the east side in zone 1 and continue through all zones.  The leaf vacuum crew left off on Fairview Ave north at Clifford. Once the main roads are complete, the leaf vacuum crew will go back to the west side main roads.

Please note, the volume of leaves are heavier than last week. This makes for slower passes through the zones for both the loader and vacuum crews. Please be patient.

Please remember that leaves must be placed at the curb for pickup. If they are blocked by cars or behind trees or poles, we will not be able to pick them up. In addition, branches cannot be mixed in with the leaves. The DPW will not pick up branches or leaf piles with branches mixed in.
