4th Quarter 2023 Repeat Public Notice for PFOA MCL Exceedance from December 2021 - Wells 12, 14, 18

You are receiving this letter as a requirement of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Tier 2 Public notice regulation. Customers were informed that three of our groundwater wells exceeded the MCL for PFOA in November 2021. Additionally, customers were informed that these wells were removed from service at that time. One remains offline, and the other two have had temporary treatment installed and placed in service.. Even though untreated water from these three wells are not provided to customers , the NJDEP requires us to send this public notice to all of our water customers every 3 months until permanent treatment for PFOA has been installed at these wells 12, 14, 18 and the water system has returned into compliance with the MCL. This is a repeat notification.

We are continuing to work through efficient permanent treatment design and pursuing the necessary funding.
