Park Ridge Public Schools
"A District Committed to Educational Excellence"
The Borough is home to an independent Kindergarten through Grade 12 school system based on the neighborhood school concept. The first Park Ridge Schoolhouse was built in 1808 with a second larger school built in 1856. Two additions were required in 1876 and 1890, and in 1908 the Borough's first brick schoolhouse was constructed. In 1922 an even larger schoolhouse was opened and served the students not only in ParkRidge; but also as a receiving district for Montvale, Woodcliff Lake and Hillsdale. In 1955 The Pascack Regional School System was formed, and Park Ridge residents chose to remain independent. In 1962 two elementary schools were opened serving grades K-6. The Park Ridge district is beneficiary to a supportive community, with community members serving on a variety of committees.
East Brook and West Ridge, the two elementary schools are strategically located, each serving half of the municipality. The Middle School/High School is conveniently located in the center of town.
