As of Wednesday, December 17th, the DPW has completed this year’s leaf collection. All zones have received two passes since the cutoff date of December 8th. Since the DPW started picking up the leaves on October 20th, we have picked up and recycled over 5,400 cubic yards of leaves.
The street sweeper began a Borough wide sweep on Monday, December 15th. All streets will be swept, however, we ask for your patience and understanding, as this portion of the operation is a slow process and will take some time to complete.
Any leaves put out to the curb after today will be the responsibility of the homeowner/resident to remove. We thank you for your cooperation with this as the DPW will not be making another pass and will not be responsible for any leaf piles hit during snow plowing operations.
Please remember, leaves can still be brought to the Park Ridge Recycling Center. The Recycling Center is open on Wednesdays 9am – 3pm and on Saturdays 9am – 12pm (9am-2pm beginning Jan 3) . If you are unable to bring your leaves to the Recycling Center during normal operating times, you can call the Borough Hall to request a special appointment to utilize the Recycling Center to recycle your leaves.
If you have any questions on the leaf collection operation, please feel free to call the Borough Hall at 201-573-1800.
